What's Happening in Tennessee USA with Pamela Nine

As we continue our virtual journey around the world finding out what’s happening in other countries we find ourselves in Knoxville Tennessee. We decided to deal with the United States of America by State as it’s too huge and diverse to be dealt with as one country because in America the states have their own laws, and that could change the face of Spiritualism as we travel across the vast continent that links the Atlantic Sea to the Pacific Ocean.

Our person on the ground this time is Pamela Nine Ph.D. She is an internationally renowned Professional Intuitive Counsellor and Spiritual Medium. She is also a published writer and Intuitive Awareness and Spiritual Development Educator.

Born in Knoxville, Tennessee and raised on her grandparents 92 acre farm, she still lives in the area with her two sons whose births were predicted by her close friend Bobby Drinnon, years after medical doctors told her she would be unable to have biological children.

Her maternal grandmother taught her about her Cherokee heritage and this knowledge played a major role in her Spiritual development. During her search for knowledge and truth a number of life-changing events occurred, and through each process and the lessons therein Pamela experienced countless miracles and was guided to her true life purpose.

When Pamela began doing this type of work professionally she was guided to use the term Intuitive Counselling rather than Psychic Reading. She views this work as being ‘in-service’ and along with accurate and detailed information she also provides spiritual guidance and support to her international client base.

One of the most emotive areas of her work is done with missing children, and she uses her gifts to work as a Psychic Investigator with families and law enforcement officials on current and cold missing child cases nationwide.

Pamela inherited her unique gifts from her maternal grandmother, but knows that these abilities have appeared in several past generations of her family. Her own gifts manifested at the age of five, and she feels that her life changed forever at that point.

As a child she was fascinated the colours she saw around and within people, but it took her many years to understand that she was seeing auras and Chakra points in and around the visible body. Over time and through a great deal of study she began to differentiate between the colour energies and associate them with personality traits and health issues.

She now uses this information and understanding to benefit her clients physically, mentally and emotionally by conveying insights about their lives which are associated with their aura colours and chakra balance. These can reveal personality traits, and issues surrounding mental, emotional and physical health.

It is also possible to gain insights into their relationships, career, goals, talents, life lessons and life purpose, spiritual path guidance and past, present and future soul experiences. During an intuitive counselling session Pamela also provides teaching that each soul exists for the purpose of learning, growing and attaining further consciousness and spiritual advancement through love.

She is also able to see, hear and feel Spirit, and receive precognitive information through dreams and visions. Her Mediumship enables her to share information about the presence of Angels, Spirit Guides and Guardians, and loved ones in the Spirit World.

She says “My work in-service is very rewarding because those led to me for guidance, often discover a new understanding of the spiritual and divine gifts we have all been given, and the eternal life therein."

Her esoteric knowledge and experience was partly triggered by very normal work within the medical profession where she worked in the field of Permanent Cosmetics. She founded her own Permanent Cosmetics Derma Centre and Training Institute, and as time went on she realised that she was being guided to help people discover their inner beauty whilst she was helping to restore their outer beauty.

In 1998 she was ordained as a Non-denominational Interfaith Minister, and in 2003 she because a certified Reiki Master and Teacher. In 2004 she received a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree in Religion. Finally, so far, in 2005 she restructured her business to form the Wellness Centre which has a cosmetic division and holistic healthcare division.

She is currently developing a series of meditation CDs and writing her “Journey of Spiritual Awakening” as a new book, which will include a meditation CD. She hopes that the book and CD will help others to discover their own Spiritual path.

Pamela is scheduled to be a featured speaker and guest of the Annual “Body, Mind Spirit Expo” held in Knoxville, TN. She has been featured in several radio shows and is now set to host her own show on national radio shortly. She has co-hosted several episodes of the CTV “Health, Energy and Awareness” television show, and is looking forward to co-hosting further episodes in the near future.

So What’s Happening in Tennessee?

Pamela tells us that this part of America is often referred to as the “Southern Bible Belt”, and as such the work of the Spiritual field is often questioned yet she hasn’t encountered a great deal of negativity.

However, a friend of hers was not so lucky and their experience resulted in a court case to challenge a Tennessee Department of Revenue attempt to levy a 7.75% Amusement/Entertainer Tax on Psychic Consultation work.

A lawsuit was filed against the State and went to court in March 1991, where the court found and ruled that there was “absolutely no basis at all under any circumstance to classify it (Psychic Consultation Work) as an amusement” and “The Amusement tax was improperly assessed and levied.”

As you can imagine those in the field felt that this was not only a happy victory but also and important statement to the world.

Today, for the most part, Psychic and intuitive work and alternative healthcare therapies are becoming more accepted and sought after throughout the State. East Tennessee in particular has many well-known and respected businesses working in the Spiritual field with energy based therapies, yoga, meditation, and psychic and intuitive services.

According to recent surveys the use of natural and complimentary health medicine is on the rise, and throughout the United States one third of the population practices meditation and/or yoga, seeks massage or chiropractic care, follows natural diet-based therapies and practices prayer for healing.

This would seem to Pamela to indicate that a considerable number of people in America are searching for ways to become more healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and Spiritually. This is where Pamela comes in “My gifts enable me to bridge the barrier between heaven and earth and to help those who are guided to me find peace and comfort in knowing we are all here to learn and grow through love. I am known internationally as a “Messenger of Spirit’ and I am honoured to be able to have a profession in the field of helping others through the gifts I was born with.

Conclusion

We would like to thank Pamela so much for taking a considerable amount of time to answer our questions in great detail; she really did an enormous amount of work for us. We also hope that she won’t mind us having changed the spelling to the UK version of English!

Whilst we are beginning to find that our chosen field seems to operate in a very similar manner and draw to it similar people, it has been interesting to discover that an area associated so strongly with traditional religion is so open and accepting of our ways.
